April Beginner Card Club

Hello ladies! For April's class I'm going to introduce you to 3 different types of stamps, dye ink, and talk about COLOR. Speaking of color, I just realized this is another card using pink, so I promise we'll use a different color in May!

If you have any of these items, please bring them to class along with your basic crafting kit:

Border punch
Butterfly punch
Linen Background stamp
Solid flower scene
Small phrase stamp
Clear stamping blocks-if needed
Soft pink dye ink

April Card Club

If you like alcohol inks, or if you would like to learn more about how to use alcohol inks in a totally different way, this class is for you! This card is a little more involved, so we're only going to make two, (there is a little drying time involved) but this is a really cool technique.


Here's what you should bring to class (if you have it)besides the basic crafting kit:

Black Stazon ink

Fine tip water brush pen ***you will not be able to use this brush pen for anything else except this kind of technique***

Alcohol blending solution
Alcohol inks-Lettuce, Stream, Wild Plum or Cranberry
Line art stamp-with open areas that can be colored in
Die cut machine
Swiss dots Cuttlebug embossing folder
1/16th hole punch or piercing tool

March Beginner Card Club

I'm all "in the pink" lately....must be 'cuz I was working on this card in February and did all kind of valentines! Anyway.......this card class we're going to make a total of four cards. Two that are "feminine" and two that are "masculine"-how about that??!!

Punches that are about 1-2" in size

March Card Club

Hello again everyone! Here's a look at what we'll be doing on March 4th and 11th. It's the same card, just different evenings from 6pm to 8:30pm. We're going to be doing a different kind of coloring, as we're going to be painting with distress ink pads.....did you know you can do that with ink pads?!!! New announcement

Hello everyone! Don't have any pictures to post, but.........drum roll please..........there's a new club at All About Pictures-called Beginner Card Club. Pretty catchy name, huh? Now, are you wondering what this group is about? Well, this class is designed to teach the basics of cardmaking.

The first card we're going to make doesn't have any stamping at all, just some pretty paper and stickers (used creatively, of course!). Next month will be a different clean and simple card, and I'll have pictures to post for you! I wanted to get this exciting news out ASAP!

If you'd like to have a better understanding of the "why" to use different kinds of papers and inks, the "what" adhesives to use for different objects, the "where" to placing embellishments, and the "how" to using different tools this is the class for you!

February Card Club-Bookmark Card

This is the card we will be making...and as I don't have good pictures of the inside (where the bookmark is, you'll have to stop by All About Pictures, and take a look!

The beauty of this card is.....well......it's just plain a lot of fun! A little bit different than the usual card, and you can give a small gift at the same time! Lots of people read during the winter, and this red card will warm them as they cozy up and read.

Class is being offered on Thursday February 4th, and repeated again on Thursday February 11th from 6:00pm to 8:30pm. Those of you who have taken the class before, please note the time change.....we're starting a little earlier, in the hopes that we'll get done a little earlier and get us on our way home!

Here's the list of supplies to bring to class (besides your regular crafting kit) if you have them:

Circle line art stamp image (something that can be colored in)

Prismacolor, or watercolor pencils-in red, peacock blue, turquoise, bright green, aqua or teal

Black dye ink, or Black stazon ink

Scallop border punch

Circle and scallop spellbinder dies, or punches (2" sizes)

Cuttlebug die cue machine, or other die cut machine

Eyelet setting tool

Scoring tool

Perforating tool (piercing wheel, or sewing tracing wheel)

January Card Club-Shaker Card

The card we're going to make this month is sure to help you "shake" away the winter snow! I think its a really pretty card, has a definite winter feeling, kind of like looking out of a picture window.








This card is not necessarily difficult, but it does have quite a few steps, so it is a little more involved. The technique I'm teaching is called 3D stamping, and it is SO EASY! This card will make your eyes "glitter" with stamping excitement.




Besides your regular crafting kit, here's the list of supplies you will need to bring if you have them:








Red liner tape








Double stick foam tape








White gel pen








Embossing buddy (or other anti-static bag) or slightly used dryer sheet








Tree silhouette or scene stamp








Polka dot or very small snowflake stamp








Weathered wood distress ink








White pigment ink








White liquid applique








Heat gun








Scoring tool








Clear or white ultra fine glitter






You can't really tell from the picture, and I can't make it actually "shake" for you on-line, but this is called a shaker card. Think a snowy night, with snow gently falling, and you inside all warm and cozy stamping away with a cup of hot cocoa.

If you're interested in taking this class, it is being offered at All About Pictures on January 7th from 6:30 to 9 pm, and again on January 14th at the same time. Please pay the instructor $10.00 at the beginning of class, and after class pay the store for the card kit.
