Hello stampers!  It's time for another caboodle, and in May we're going to learn the Letterpress Technique.  This is a very elegant looking set of eight cards, without too much fluff and stuff going on.  I'll try to post pictures as soon as I can, but right now, my computer isn't cooperating!  This is cramping my style....seriously!  At any rate...here are the extra supplies to bring to class if you have them:

Cuttlebug machine and tan embossing mat
Spellbinder impressability plate
Victoria/Damask embossing folder
Pale blue dye ink (Memento summer sky)
Black dye ink
Black pigment ink
Silver metallic pigment ink
Medium aqua dye ink(tumbled glass distress ink)
Chalk ink (Prussian blue, Cerulean)
Brayer
Silver embossing powder/heat tool
Water mister
Foam pop dots-lots of them!

Vellum adhesive
2" butterfly punch
Sentiment stamps (small font horizontal)

Class is scheduled for Thursday May 10th from 6:30 to 9:30, and Friday morning from 10:00 to 1:00.  If you have any questions or need to reserve your stamping spot, please call All About Pictures at 364-4141.  See you stamping soon!  ~Kim

An Evening with Tim Holtz (products, that is)

Join me on April 19 from 6- 8:30 & you’ll learn three of Tim’s techniques, while playing with color combinations, layering, masking, spritzing, creating a watercolor look without a brush and coloring with a waterbrush using Distress Inks. This won’t be a project class, but a class of techniques
that you can later use on greeting cards, scrapbook pages and other mixed media projects. Wear old
clothes and plan to get your fingers dirty with gorgeous Distress ink colors.

We will use these products; please bring any that you have. Distress inks, craft sheet, Ink applicator, foam
for the applicator, Mini Mister, Ranger masks, Black archival ink, Ranger sprays, water brush, heat tool.

And of course, bring your class supplies.  Call All About Pictures to register for class: 364-4141.  I hope to see you in class.

Copic 2 for April

APRIL 10th
6-8pm

Hopefully you can understand what we are going to do by looking at this display board.  This month we will complete one card and have many other images to work with while we practice shadows for folds and pleats in fabric. Sometimes these areas can be tricky  and just need practice.  The colors that I used on the card are oranges and pinks with your basic skin and hair colors.  As always bring all of your markers and card making supplies.
I also wanted to address some questions that we have been getting at the store that concern new people who want to attend this advanced class.
1.  Do I have to purchase a whole bunch of markers every month:  no, if you have been taking the beginning class you should already have a good base of markers to start with.  I usually give a supply list for the next class so you have the supplies needed one month in advance.  I can usually look at your collection and tell you substitutions that can be used.
2.  Do I need to attend a beginner class before I can attend the advanced class.: not always, but you need to know the basic concept of blending and terminology so that you are not lost in the class.

If you have question, please call the store and leave a message with your contact information and I will get in touch with you to clarify and answer questions.

APRIL Penny Black Sticker Greeting Card Class

This month's Penny Black sticker card class will be held on Wednesday, April 25 from 6- 8:30 at All About Pictures.  Call the store to sign up - 364-4141.

The stickers this month are gorgeous! and they certainly celebrate spring. The cards use the brand new Sizzix Circle Flip It die, two of the new Sizzix Framelits, Spellbinders circle die, punches and Flower Soft. Bring your usual class supplies. If you have any of these items, please bring them: Copic Markers YR07 and RV09, Stickles orange, yellow, fruit punch and platinum, and Sakura yellow glaze pen. If you don't have any Glaze pens, you'll probably be purchasing them after using mine. The colors are rich and they work great on non-porous surfaces, giving a raised effect.

Hope to see you in class,
WENDEE
